Christine will graduate with her MSW in May 2016 from KU’s Edwards Campus. Her Social Welfare focus is policy advocacy and legislation. Her macro interests led her to the Social Work Administration and Advocacy Practice (SWAAP) track for her studies. Her research interests piqued during her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she gained valuable experience assisting in the Community Health Research Lab. This interest continues and motivated her to seek out research experience at KU. She has served in direct care roles including SSVF Case Manager for US Veterans experiencing homelessness and Community Health Worker, providing invaluable resources for Kansas City residents lacking access to healthcare.
