Dr. Anao Zhang is a Transitional Postdoctoral Fellow and Incoming Assistant (AY 19) at the University of Michigan, School of Social Work. Zhang received his Master’s degree in social work from University of Pennsylvania, Ph.D. in social work from the University of Texas at Austin, with a graduate certification in Applied Statistical Modeling. Zhang is broadly interested in social determinants of health, especially the mechanism through which social contextual factors affect individuals’ health wellbeing. Zhang publishes in health journals on the topic of social determinants of health such as, the Journal of Pediatric Nursing, Children and Youth Services Review and Journal of Behavioral Medicine.
